CFA Institute Prep Provider
Our coaching is built to the standards set by the CFA Institute’s Prep Provider programme, so what you study maps directly to what you're examined on.
You’ve cleared Level 1. Now the exam changes shape: 22 case-study vignettes, 88 questions and far deeper valuation work. Our classroom programme at our Vile Parle East head office is built around that shift — vignette drilling from the first subject, a personal mentor and 8 full-length mock exams.
Most candidates don't fail Level 2 for lack of material. They fail for lack of structure, practice and someone to ask. We built the programme around those three gaps.

Attend, practise and sit the exam as prescribed. If you don’t clear, you’re eligible for a full refund. Terms shared upfront, in writing.
Weekday and weekend batches, 10–15 hours a week. No career break, no gap year.
Same ten subjects, a very different exam. These are the six shifts that catch Level 1 passers out — and what your preparation has to account for.
Level 1: 180 standalone multiple-choice questions.
Level 2: 88 questions across 22 vignettes. Each case study carries four linked questions, so you have to find the relevant data before you can answer anything.
Level 1: about 90 seconds a question.
Level 2: about 3 minutes a question.That includes reading a page-long case. Two sessions of 2 hours 12 minutes, 44 questions each.
Level 1: knowing the concept and the formula.
Level 2: applying it to a messy situation.Questions ask you to analyse, value and judge — rarely to simply recall.
Level 1: one-step calculations.
Level 2: multi-step valuation.Free cash flow and residual income models, binomial trees, swap and option valuation, pension and consolidation adjustments.
Level 1: Quant carries 11–14%.
Level 2: weight moves to asset valuation.Quant drops to 5–10%, while Equity, Fixed Income, FSA and Portfolio Management each carry 10–15%.
Level 1: one wrong answer costs one mark.
Level 2: one misread vignette can cost four.Which is why reading discipline is trained as deliberately as the content.
This is the sequence every LeapUp candidate follows. Nothing is left to “study when you can”.
You get an indicative timetable covering all 10 subjects well in advance, so the whole year is visible before you start.
Face-to-face sessions at our Mumbai centre with your faculty mentors — questions asked and answered as you go.
Every classroom session is recorded and uploaded to the LMS, so you can revisit any explanation after class or catch up if you miss one.

8 full-length mocks in the final 30 days, with analysis of where marks are actually being lost.
A dedicated guidance session on exam-day strategy, timing and scoring, with your mentor on call.

Get directionsKnowing the syllabus is not enough at Level 2. You need a repeatable way to work through a case under time pressure — and that is a skill we teach on purpose.
Practice is written in vignette format from day one, not saved for mock season — so the format stops feeling new long before the exam.
You learn to scan the four questions, then read the vignette looking for exactly what they need, instead of absorbing every line.
Timed drills build the habit of closing a vignette and moving on, so one hard case never eats the session.
Long calculations are broken into a fixed sequence in class, so you can rebuild a model under pressure rather than memorise an answer.
After each subject test and mock we separate concept gaps from misreads and timing slips, because each needs a different fix.
Your mentor reviews where your marks are going and adjusts your revision plan with you before the final 30 days.

The most common Level 2 mistake is made before studying starts: picking a window that leaves too little time. Here is how to decide.
Level 2 is offered in May, August and November. You can register for the next available window once your Level 1 result is out.
Give yourself around six months at 10–15 hours a week. If the nearest window leaves less than that, the next one is usually the better call.
The final month is for 8 full-length mocks and revision, not new material. Your timetable is built backwards from that.
The CFA Charter is the professional designation awarded by the CFA Institute (USA), the global body that sets standards in investment management and financial analysis. A charterholder has done three things: passed all three exam levels, accumulated the required relevant work experience, and committed to the Institute’s code of ethics.
Pass Levels I, II and III. Complete 4,000 hours (roughly 3–4 years) of relevant investment or finance work experience. Become a member of the CFA Institute and abide by its ethical standards.
The Charter carries weight in portfolio management, equity research, investment banking and asset management.
Yes — and most candidates do. You can register for the next available Level 2 window once your Level 1 result is out. Give yourself around 6 months of preparation, since the syllabus depth steps up considerably.
Yes — a large share of candidates are working professionals, and the programme was designed with them in mind. Most study 10–15 hours a week over several months alongside a full-time job. Our weekend batches and full lecture recordings exist for exactly this.
CFA Level 2 is offered in May, August and November each year. Level 1 runs in February, May, August and November; Level 3 in February and August.
Exams run at Prometric computer-based testing centres across major Indian cities. You choose your preferred city and centre at registration, subject to seat availability in that exam window.
Yes. The CFA Institute doesn’t require a specific academic background. Students from engineering, science, arts or any other stream can enrol as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
Level 2 is widely considered the toughest of the three. The format shifts from standalone questions to item sets — vignettes where you read a case and answer linked questions — and the depth on valuation and financial reporting increases sharply. It rewards application over recall, which is exactly what our vignette drilling is built around.
If you meet the attendance, test and mock requirements set out at enrolment and still don’t clear Level 2, you become eligible for a 100% refund. The full terms are shared in writing before you pay — ask your counsellor for the document.
Batch timings, fees, EMI options and the complete syllabus breakdown — all in the brochure.
