What is the CFA Charter?
The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charter is a professional designation (not a degree) issued by the CFA Institute. It is considered the global gold standard in finance and investments education and training. It opens doors to careers in finance and investments across the most prestigious companies globally.
How do you earn your CFA Charter?
To receive your CFA Charter from the CFA Institute, you must successfully complete all the three CFA Level examinations (Level I, II and III), along with four years of relevant full time professional work experience. Internships are not eligible for counting towards your four years of work experience.
Can I do CFA after 12th?
No, a student is eligible to attempt the CFA exam under the following conditions: 1. Be in their second last year of graduation OR 2. Have 4 years of investment related work experience. OR 3. Be a graduate (Any field)

When can I give CFA exams?
The current CFA exam windows are as follows:
CFA level I Exam – 4 CFA exam windows in a year – Feb, May, Aug, and Nov
CFA level II Exam – 2 CFA exam windows in a year – Feb and Aug
CFA level III Exam – 2 CFA exam windows in a year – May and Nov
What are the CFA exam centres in India?
In India, the CFA exam is conducted in 15 cities. Candidates are required to select the CFA exam India centers location while registering for the exam.

Can non-commerce students do CFA?
Yes, you can. In fact a lot of non-commerce students choose to do CFA to shift towards a career in finance.
I am weak in Mathematics, can I still do CFA?
Some commerce and Arts students naturally feel a bit underconfident in Mathematics. This subject has a 8 – 12% weightage in CFA Level I exam. However the interesting part is that it has none of the difficult math topics like Integration, Limits, Matrices, Determinants, etc. It contains relatively simple and practical topics like Probability, Time Value of Money, Mean, Median, Mode, etc. Also, you are allowed to use calculator in all CFA exams.
