Why LeapUp

Why choose LeapUp for CFA Level 1 online coaching.

Most candidates don't fail Level 1 for lack of material. They fail for lack of structure, practice and someone to ask. We built the programme around those three gaps.

CFA Institute Prep Provider

Our coaching is built to the standards set by the CFA Institute’s Prep Provider programme, so what you study maps directly to what you're examined on.

Start whenever you’re ready

No waiting for a batch to form. The full lecture library across all 10 subjects unlocks the moment you enrol, so you set the pace.

Weekly live doubt solving

The biggest gap in recorded courses is doubt resolution. Every weekend you get a live session with Monil Sir himself to clear everything you’ve hit during the week.

Practice built like the exam

80–160 questions per subject, topic-wise tests, mixed-subject mini mocks and 8 full-length mocks with performance analysis.

Every lecture, recorded

Missed a session or want a second pass before a mock? Full recordings available on the LMS for the length of your course.

Taught from the desk, not the textbook

Faculty who are expert in equity research, portfolio management and audit teach with live cases, so concepts stick past the exam hall.

Placement assistance

Resume review, mock interviews and career direction support to convert the qualification into an actual finance role.

See the teaching before you pay

Full-length demo lectures are free to watch, start to finish. Judge the teaching on the actual course content rather than a sales pitch.

Fits around your job or college

Watch at 6am or 11pm — the lectures don’t care. No fixed class timings, no career break, no gap year.

The curriculum

CFA Level 1 syllabus — all 10 subjects covered.

Conceptual clarity first, then exam-format drilling, then application — so you can answer the question in front of you and explain it in an interview.

Ethics & Professional Standards

The highest-weighted subject on Level 1, and the one most candidates under-prepare.

Financial Statement Analysis

Reading, adjusting and comparing statements the way an analyst does.

Quantitative Methods

Time value of money, probability and statistics — no calculus, calculator permitted.

Economics

Micro, macro and the frameworks behind rate, currency and cycle calls.

Corporate Issuers

Capital structure, governance and how firms fund themselves.

Equity Investments

Market mechanics, indices and the foundations of valuation.

Fixed Income

Pricing, yield measures, duration and credit risk fundamentals.

Derivatives

Forwards, futures, options and swaps — how each instrument is priced and used to hedge.

Alternative Investments

Real assets, private equity, hedge funds and commodities, and how they behave differently to listed markets.

Portfolio Management

Risk, return, asset allocation and the planning process end to end.

The preparation path

How our CFA Level 1 preparation works — nine stages to exam day.

This is the sequence every LeapUp candidate follows. Nothing is left to “study when you can”.

01

Structured preparation

You get an indicative timetable covering all 10 subjects well in advance, so the whole year is visible before you start.

02

Recorded lectures

Self-paced video lectures recorded by Prof. Monil Mehta (CFA, FRM), covering every subject end to end.

03

Lecture recordings

Your full lecture library sits on the LMS from day one — pause, rewind and rewatch any topic as many times as you need.

04

Practice questions

80–160 questions per subject, written in CFA exam format rather than textbook format.

05

Subject tests

A test at the close of each subject, so gaps surface early instead of during the mocks.

06

Mixed-subject tests & doubt sessions

Mini mocks that cut across subjects, plus dedicated sessions to clear everything before mock season begins.

07

Mock exams

8 full-length mocks in the final 30 days, with analysis of where marks are actually being lost.

08

Exam mentoring

A dedicated guidance session on exam-day strategy, timing and scoring, with your mentor on call.

09

Sit Level 1

Walk in prepared, having covered every subject, drilled the question bank and sat eight full mocks under timed conditions.

Our Faculty

Every lecture, recorded by Monil Mehta.

This course is taught end to end by Prof. Monil Mehta (CFA, FRM), who has trained 4,000+ CFA candidates over the last 7 years — so the teaching voice never changes mid-syllabus. He also runs the weekly live doubt sessions himself.

Questions

CFA Level 1 FAQs — eligibility, fees, exam dates and more.

What is the CFA Charter?

The CFA Charter is the professional designation awarded by the CFA Institute (USA), the global body that sets standards in investment management and financial analysis. A charterholder has done three things: passed all three exam levels, accumulated the required relevant work experience, and committed to the Institute’s code of ethics.

How do I earn the Charter?

Pass Levels I, II and III. Complete 4,000 hours (roughly 3–4 years) of relevant investment or finance work experience. Become a member of the CFA Institute and abide by its ethical standards.

The Charter carries weight in portfolio management, equity research, investment banking and asset management.

Can I start CFA right after Class 12?

Starting in the first year of graduation is the smartest route. You build the finance foundation early, complete Level I during college, and graduate with CFA progress already on your profile rather than just a degree — which matters when applying for investment banking, equity research and analyst roles.

I’m working full-time. Can I still start?

Yes — a large share of candidates are working professionals, and the programme was designed with them in mind. Most study 10–15 hours a week over several months alongside a full-time job. This course has no fixed class timings at all — you watch the lectures whenever you are free, and bring your doubts to the weekly live session.

When are the CFA exams held?

Level I: February, May, August and November. Level II: May, August and November. Level III: February and August.

Where are the exam centres in India?

Exams run at Prometric computer-based testing centres across major Indian cities. You choose your preferred city and centre at registration, subject to seat availability in that exam window.

Can non-commerce students take the CFA?

Yes. The CFA Institute doesn’t require a specific academic background. Students from engineering, science, arts or any other stream can enrol as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.

I’m weak at maths. Is that a problem?

Rarely. Quantitative Methods carries 6–9% weightage at Level 1 and contains none of the harder topics — no integration, limits, matrices or determinants. It covers probability, time value of money, mean, median and mode. A calculator is permitted in every CFA exam.

How long do I get access to the lectures?

Your lectures, question bank and mock exams stay available on the LMS for the full duration of your course, so you can revise any topic as many times as you need before exam day. Ask your counsellor to confirm the exact access period for the batch you enrol in.
